There are some pitfalls in free hosting. With many free hosts you cannot put your own ads to make money from your own site. Many don't allow you to get your own domain name. Alternatively, they will provide you a subdomain and that is sometimes a long, forgettable web address. With no domain name you can obviously not have addresses like email@yourcompany.com. Many don't allow scripting, like CGI or PHP; moreover, you may also don't have FTP access. Most of the times you are not given any technical support and if there is any you will find it very poor. As we saw in the past that many free hosting companies emerged and disappeared; so, you don't know how long your site will be on the scene as your free host can go out of business at any stage. There were some who lasted not more than a year or two. I believe that nobody will want to build up his site for such a short time span and to start over the whole job again?
